Preparing for School Year/Term Rollover
Overview
This article provides seven recommendations for starting the new term or school year right with ReachWell!
Announcements
Before adding new announcements, we recommend archiving old announcements to help to clear up your school's news feed for contacts (i.e. families). This prevents confusion for families as they won't be seeing the previous year or term's announcements in their news feed. Please begin by viewing this video.
- Navigate to Dashboard > Messages > All Announcements.
- Select to archive all announcements by checking the box in the header column at the top, or check the boxes corresponding to individual messages to only delete those.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page. The Archive option is already selected.
- Select Submit.
- Click HERE for details on adding new announcements!
Banners
We recommend also removing old banners before adding new ones. To do this:
- Navigate to Dashboard > App Setup > Schools/Orgs.
- Select Update under the Banners column.
- Use the trash icon to the far right of any banners you would like to delete.
- Click HERE for details on uploading new banners!
Calendars
Be sure to update the Google or Outlook calendar(s) that are connected to ReachWell with upcoming events for the new school year or term! For instructions, visit:
- Setting Up: Google Classroom Calendar
- Setting Up: Outlook Calendar
Update your Contact Us details for any changes to your available office hours, location, phone numbers, or any other pertinent details that help contacts (i.e. families) get in touch with you! To do this:
- Navigate to Dashboard > App Setup > Schools/Orgs.
- Select the Update option under the Contact Us column.
- Make any needed updates and then select Save.
- Click HERE for details on updating Contact Us.
Resources
It is also important to delete any outdated resources before adding new ones. To do this:
- Navigate to Dashboard > App Setup > Schools/Orgs.
- Select the Update option under the Resources column.
- To deactivate a resource section, toggle off the green button to the left of the resource.
- To delete a link or attachment within a resource, click on the name of the category to open the resource.
- Use the trash icon to the far right of the object to delete it.
- Select Save.
- Click HERE for details on adding new resources!
Updating Admins
We recommend removing any admins from ReachWell who will not be returning, and adding any new incoming staff. To do this:
- Navigate to Dashboard > Admins.
- Click the trash icon to the right of the admins you would like removed.
- Add any new Org/School Admins or Group Admins. Visit THIS articles for details.
