Utilizing the Text to Speech Function
Overview
This article reviews how to turn on the the text-to-speech function in order to have ReachWell announcements and chats read aloud in language selected on the app.
Instructions
Apple/iPhone users:
1. Open your device settings.
2. Select "Accessibility"
3. Select "Spoken Content"
4. Toggle on "Speak Screen." Here you can also edit the default language of your choice.
5. Return to the ReachWell announcement that you would like read aloud. Swipe down from the top of your screen with two fingers and a black box will appear that will begin reading the message aloud.
Android users:
1. Open your device settings.
2. Select "Accessibility."
3. Select "Text-to-Speech output" or "Select to Speak."
4. Choose your preferred engine, language, speech rate, and pitch.
5. To utilize this function, select the icon of a person in the bottom right corner of the screen and press play.
