Unsubscribing a Contact

Overview

For organizations utilizing our First Class or Economy Plans this article provides instructions for unsubscribing individual contacts in ReachWell. At a school, contacts are the family members or guardians of students who are using the family version of the ReachWell app. At a community organization or non-profit, contacts are the individuals you are communicating with.

Instructions to unsubscribe one contact at a time

You may receive an email from a contact requesting to unsubscribe. ReachWell's Unsubscribe button via email will send a school admin the following email:
"I no longer wish to receive email communication from this organization.  Please remove me from this list."
To remove the contact from your email list:
  1. Go to the contact's profile on the People > Contacts page.
  2. Search the contact's email in the search bar. Select Search.
  3. Under the Action column, click the pencil icon. This will take you to the contact's profile
  4. At the bottom of the contact's profile, deselect Email. If the contact requested to unsubscribe from other notification types, like Text or Voice, deselect the notification type.
  5. Select Save Changes.

Instructions to unsubscribe multiple contacts at once

To remove multiple contacts from your email list:
  1. Go to the People > Contacts page.
  2. Search for the contact's name or email address, and select Search.
  3. Select the contact by clicking the box to the left of the contact's name.
  4. Repeat searching and selecting for as many contacts as needed.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the contact's page, and you'll see how many contact's you've selected in bold.
  6. Under the drop down Choose a Bulk Action, select Edit Multiple Contacts, and then go.


  1. Check off Disable for Email under Enabled notification types. 
  2. Select Edit contacts.
