How ReachWell Supports Student Enrollments

This article provides insight and recommendations for using the ReachWell app to better promote your school(s) and increase student enrollments.

Using ReachWell to Attract Families & Students

Step 1: Set up an Public Opt-in "Prospective Families" Group

This group sends targeted announcements to prospective contacts (i.e. families). This serves two purposes: 

  1. It provides them with real-time information on enrollment and registration.
  2. It signs them up to receive school announcements so they can see that your school community values strong family communication.
Step 2: Families download the ReachWell app during School Tours
  1. Enrollment campaigns should drive contacts (i.e. families) into the school for a tour or to attend a welcome event.  All families who attend a tour or event should download the ReachWell app, add your school, and join the Prospective Families group. This establishes a connection to families and gives them consistent information for experiencing your school remotely and virtually.
Step 3: Nurture Relationships, Engage, & Enroll
  1. Schedule announcements to send to the Prospective Families group from now and throughout the registration period, including event invites and RSVP links for upcoming events or activities that lead up to school choice and enrollment deadlines. This allows you to follow up with contacts (i.e. families) who have not yet responded to your invites.
  2. Drive contacts (i.e. families) to resources to help prepare them for the upcoming school year or term. Create a Prospective Families section under your App Setup > Schools/Orgs > Resources, and send contacts (i.e. families) a push notification informing them of the available resources. The ReachWell app already includes helpful content that can be used to help prepare Pre-K and Kindergarten students (e.g. Dolch Sight Words flashcards, eBooks and activities families can perform with their students). Incoming middle and high school families can receive tips and activities to help stop the “summer slide".
  3. Promote your school culture through the ReachWell app by including student spotlights, weekly news, videos, and other announcements and messages.
  4. Add online enrollment and registration forms to clickable banners in the Prospective Families resource section. When the time for choice arrives, families can submit their intent to enroll and can complete applications directly from their ReachWell app. Families can be notified and reminded directly on their personal mobile devices.

Leveraging Current Families through ReachWell

  1. Existing contacts (i.e. families) are the best source for new, potential families. ReachWell makes referrals and sharing easy with a clickable banner linked to your Facebook page. This way, families can quickly share and promote your page and posts.
  2. Post a clickable banner asking families to review your school. Review sites such as GreatSchools.org, SchoolDigger.com and Google help to influence family opinions. Please note, however, that negative reviews are difficult to remove! 
  3. ReachWell provides a way to make positive reviews easily shared with your community; especially when conducting a school survey. Positive survey respondents can be directed to review sites, and contests can be executed to increase reviews right from the app.
  4. Post a clickable banner to ReachWell’s refer-a-friend form, and then add the form to your resources tab. This automates referral tracking and reports. With a tap, contacts (i.e. families) share their school, and customized announcements can be delivered to prospective families inviting them to schedule a tour. Referrals are tracked so families can be easily rewarded and recognized for their efforts.
