Creating & Managing Banners

Overview

Banners are a great way for admins to customize and personalize your organization's ReachWell homepage! These are great for building your brand on the ReachWell app.  Banners display at the top of the app for your contacts (i.e. families). From there, they can tap on the banners to navigate to any hyperlinked websites, or they can manually slide through the various banners. Admins have the ability to customize, update, or add multiple banners that will cycle every few seconds. There is no limit to how many banners you can have for your organization! 



Instructions

Navigate to your ReachWell Dashboard > App Setup > Schools/Orgs page. Click the Update option under the Banners column. From there, you can view all the banners previously uploaded to ReachWell for your organization. Additional options here include:
  1. Reordering preexisting banners in the order that they will cycle within the ReachWell app for contacts.
  2. Inserting a URL (i.e. link) to another website so, when contacts click on the banner, they are directed to that website.
  3. Selecting banners from a library of ReachWell's prepopulated banners that can be customized for your organization.
    1. Use our Build a Banner slide deck to select and modify preexisting banners.
    2. Follow the instructions on the first slide to guide your modifications.
  4. Adding new banners (see the Adding New Banners section of this article for details).

Sizing banners can be tricky as different mobile devices require different screen sizes. Here are some recommendations to ensure your banners look great!

  • Typically, a 2 x 1 (width x height) ratio for your image is optimal (e.g. 400 pixels wide x 200 pixels tall).
  • Keep the main content centered in the banner. Do not have the highlight of the banner be on edge of the image.
  • Upload photos of students! Families love to see their kids, and it will keep them coming back to the app.
  • Use our banner library to make banners using our templates!
  • Add actionable hyperlinks to your banners!

Adding New Banners

  1. Navigate to your ReachWell Dashboard
  2. Select App Setup > Schools/Orgs.
  3. Click the Update option under the Banners column.
          
  1. Select Upload Image.
  2. Search for an appropriately sized image from your desktop (or a landscape photo taken on your mobile phone if using a mobile device). You also have the option to utilize one of the many ReachWell default banners for your organization!   
  3. Upload up to five banners at once, and then drag and drop banners up or down to reposition the order they will cycle on the app.
  4. Select Add.
  5. Select Save.
Please make sure any banners you add are horizontal so they are reflected correctly in the ReachWell app!

Removing Banners

  1. Navigate to your ReachWell Dashboard
  2. Select App Setup > Schools/Orgs.
  3. Click the Update option under the Banners column.
  4. Click on the trash icon to the far right of the banner you would like removed.
  5. Select Save.
