First Class Plan: Clever FAQs

First Class Plan: Clever FAQs

Overview

If your organization is utilizing our First Class plan, we provide an easy way to connect your student information system (SIS) to ReachWell enabling your school's contacts (i.e. families) to be automatically pulled into ReachWell on a nightly basis! This allows you to utilize ReachWell's private groupsinstant chats, and messaging call/text/email features with ease. To connect to your school's SIS, ReachWell uses a third-party app called Clever. This article provides the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Clever sync.

FAQs

How are new students and contacts created in ReachWell?

  1. Any new contacts or students in your SIS that are in Clever, but are not yet in ReachWell, will be added to our database in the nightly sync.  Essentially, if we are unable to match a student or contact in our database, a new record will be created for them.

What if a student or contact is removed from our SIS?

  1. If an existing student or contact record in ReachWell is not found in the nightly sync (i.e. it was removed from your SIS and Clever), then the student and all of their contacts, or the individual contact, will be removed from their previous school association in ReachWell. However, the contact(s) may continue to exist in ReachWell if they have student(s) at other schools.

What happens if a student or contact's data changes in our SIS?

  1. If a student or contact's data changes in your SIS, the Clever sync will overwrite certain attributes (e.g. email, name, phone number, grade, etc.) in ReachWell, but will not overwrite manual associations or groups.

Will a contact still sync if they are missing important information in our SIS?

  1. A contact will still sync to ReachWell even if they have an empty "required" field (e.g. email address). The field will display as a NULL value in ReachWell.
