Attendance Forms FAQ's

Overview

Attendance forms in ReachWell are simply a faster way for contacts (i.e. families) to communicate a child’s tardiness or absence to their school. Families open the form from their ReachWell app, complete the attendance form details and submit the form.  The designated front office staff will then receive an email with the form details submitted by the contact. Our team can also provide an optional Google Sheet to capture the details of form responses if desired.

Does a submission excuse a student?

No, attendance forms only notify staff who were designated by the admin to receive those responses. The tardiness or absence is not verified nor excused.

Who can submit attendance forms?

Currently, anyone who downloads the ReachWell app can submit an attendance form. Please note, this means the forms are not secure!

How is an attendance form an improvement?

Attendance forms digitize the information that would otherwise need to be transcribed from a voicemail saving your school's staff time and effort. Attendance forms are also multi-lingual allowing non-native English speakers to submit the form with the confidence that they’re communicating in the right way without the fear of having to speak to someone who doesn’t speak their language. The form is also faster and easier than making a phone call. This increases the likelihood of schools getting the attendance information they need from contacts (i.e. families).
